​1. Contribution to Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and GTZ at National Level  

Prerana Energy Society is associated with National Nodal Energy Agency like Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) since beginning. The association with BEE commenced with programs for increasing Awareness of Energy Conservation & Energy Efficiency Improvement in the state of Maharashtra.  However, over the years the association has spread to many more areas like Training Programs, Workshops and Seminars etc. 

We assisted BEE / GTZ extensively during the period 2009 to 2013 for conducting a large number of Awareness Programs, Workshops, Seminars and Training Programs largely in Pune and other Cities in Maharashtra on Topics like Energy Efficiency in Automobile Industries, Pumps, Electric Motors, Compressors & Pumping Systems, MSMEs, IT Parks, Hotels Hospitals, Thermal Insulation under the 3-L Program of BEE /GTZ and also Other BEE Programs like ECBC Program, Energy Efficiency Project Financing, Various Schemes and Programs of BEE / Government of India etc. Prerana’s contribution to BEE / GTZ was for -  

• Inviting and Registering a large number of Participants for the above Programs in Pune and Other Places in Maharashtra

• Providing local ‘Energy Experts’ as Chief Guest and Speakers for above events and Guidance for BEE Programs   

• Co-ordination for BEE Programs and Events at Pune.

2. Contribution to Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA)             

Likewise, Prerana Energy Society has been also closely associated with     Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) since year 2009, initially   for Guidance on almost all matters of importance and subsequently offering       Assistance to MEDA’s ENCON Department from time to time for its Activities             and Programs. Our assistance includes -

• Providing Guidance at Top level since Year 2009. Two (2) of our Members were adopted by MEDA on their Advisory Panel for many years.

• Providing Experts, Speakers and Participants for various Programs.

• Assistance for organizing MEDA’s Awareness Workshops, Training Programs related to Energy Conservation, Renewable energy,  ECBC, Environment and Sustainability, Financing of EC Projects by Financial Institutions / Banks etc. for Large, Medium and Small Industries, Corporate, Energy Professionals, Energy Auditors, Energy Managers, Educational Institutions and Students in colleges and schools.

• Providing Energy Experts from Educational field for Preparing Syllabus for Educational Courses in Energy Management and Renewable Energy both at Degree (BE) and Diploma Level.

• Assisting MEDA for preparing for (a) Energy Conservation Policy and (b) Renewable Energy Policy for Government of Maharashtra

• Providing Professional Energy Experts every year from Year 2003 to Year 2022 as ‘Members’ for ‘Committee of Judges’ for State Level Energy Conservation Competitions organized by Government of Maharashtra.

3. Association with Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC)

During the Tenure of the first MERC, Two (2) of our Members were appointed by           Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) as ‘Members’ of their         ‘Advisory Committee’.  

 

4. Association with Organizations like MCCIA, IEI-PLC,WISE and PLC 

Association with Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries & Agriculture      (MCCIA) and Pune Local Centre of the Institution of Engineers (India) exists   for many years. Association with World Institute of Sustainable Energy (WISE)       and Pune International Centre (PIC) commenced immediately after these bodies        came into existence. The areas of our Association with these Organizations are –

 

5. Association with Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries & Agriculture (MCCIA)

Prerana Energy Society is closely associated with MCCIA since year 2009 for –

• Providing Expert Services / Guidance to Energy Sub-Committee / Energy Team of MCCIA right from Year 2009                           

• Assistance for organizing’s Awareness Workshops, Seminars and Training Courses for Industries on the areas of Energy Conservation, Renewable energy, Environment and Sustainability.

• Our Members were also taken up by MCCIA as the Members of their ‘Energy Sub-Committee’ for some years.  

• Prerana Energy Society organized of Guidance Courses for MCCIA at their premises for Three (3) Batches in Year 2009 (March-May 2009), Year 2010 (Feb-April 2010) and Year 2014 (Feb-April 2014) respectively for 9th, 10th and 14th BEE Examinations.  

• Assistance for Organizing ‘Energy Conservation Week’ Celebration Programs

 

6. Association with World Institute of Sustainable Energy (WISE)   

Prerana Energy Society was involved with WISE since their inception. We            helped WISE in initial stages to get proper manpower. For many years, we were      involved in a number of Workshops, Seminars and Other Events of WISE.

 

7. Association with The Institution of Engineers (India), Pune Local Centre (IEI-PLC)

ALL of the Founder Members of Prerana Energy Society have contributed very     substantially to several Energy related activities carried out by The Institution of     Engineers (India), Pune Local Centre for many years. 

 

8. Association with Pune International Centre (PIC)

Guidance was offered and Assistance was provided to PIC in initial stages for       formulating Policies, Identifying Experts, Initial programs and Activities to be taken up etc. Expertise of our Members was made available to PIC for taking up        Activities / Programs in areas of Energy Conservation, Energy Efficiency       Improvement and Environmental areas for initial couple of year’s period.

 

9. Assistance to Kirloskar Group Companies

Since our Key Members are from Kirloskar Group, we have been associated with ENCON Activities of the ‘K Group’ since beginning. Our association is in   the areas like –

• Lectures and Training Programs at various K Group Plants

• Support for arranging Lectures, Exhibitions in ENCON Week

• Provided Experts as Judges for Interplant Energy Excellence Competitions of Industrial Group (e.g. KIRLOSKAR Group) continuously from Year 2009 to Year 2022

• Recently we have been entrusted with an special Assignment for the Improving Awareness of ENCON and Assessment of Energy Performance KOEL Group Plants and providing assistance for Selection of Energy Auditors for conducting Targeted Energy audits in plants.
